My name is Konstantinos and I am the Vice-President of ESN The Netherlands for 2020/2021!
I was born in Greece and I have been living in the Netherlands for the past 5 years. When I finished high school in greece, I already wanted to take on an adventure, so I decided to move abroad and start my adult life in Amsterdam. In my third year I went on my Erasmus in Lisbon and this is where I met and fell in love with ESN. Right before graduation I decided to join my local section at ESN VU Amsterdam, because I wanted to help all new international students coming to my university. It is a very unique feeling and they are right when they say once Erasmus, always Erasmus. I am always happy to help other international students integrate in their new environment and I am always willing to be their buddy until they spread their wings and make their own friends from life on exchange. This was, is and will be my motivation for being in ESN and I am not planning to leave this network any time soon.
This year I will be working on HR, section care and national events organisation. I will do my best to bring our physical events back to life, by taking into consideration all the necessary measures imposed by the Dutch government. Also, I will actively be checking on sections to see if they would need any assistance, as this new normality might create some shortcomings. I will do my utmost best to help sections run as smoothly as possible and make it a fun year for everyone.
I wish everyone the best of luck for this year and always look forward to our national events. Better times are coming and until we reunite stay strong and stay healthy. Lots of love and I’m looking forward to meeting you all!
